Morocco: The situation is not settled for SAMIR

Nothing will stop the SAMIR employees. They will still organize, next Monday from 13H, in the headquarters of the company in Mohammedia, a sit-in protest to claim their rights and sound the alarm on the financial crisis that the company has been experiencing since August 2016.

According to a statement from the union bureau SAMIR, reached the drafting, employees are demanding the payment of their wages and call on officials to find a way out of the crisis to restart the refining business.

It should be noted that the Casablanca Commercial Court decided two years ago on the liquidation of the national refinery. A decision that was confirmed by the Court of Cassation in 2018. The employees and workers of the firm have been doing their hands and feet since to prevent this liquidation.
