Museum of Intangible Heritage in Jemaa El Fna

A partnership agreement on the creation and management of the museum of intangible heritage at Jamaa El Fna Square was signed in Marrakech. This convention aims to set up a cooperation and partnership framework for the creation and management of the intangible heritage museum in the former Bank Al-Maghrib building located at Jamaa El Fna Square.

It is part of the promotion of the material, spiritual and cultural capital of the ocher city, declared World Heritage of Humanity since 1985 by UNESCO. Under this convention, the National Museums Foundation will ensure the museum equipment, management and animation of its space, while working to enrich and enhance the intangible heritage.

In addition to the wilaya of the Marrakech-Safi region, the municipal council of Marrakech and the FNM, Bank Al-Maghrib and the Regional Directorate of Culture in Marrakech are also stakeholders in this convention.
