The Turkish Airlines company inaugurated on Monday a new direct air link between the cities of Istanbul and Marrakech.
A statement from the Turkish company said Monday that the new service will be scheduled five times a week, from and to the Marrakech Menara International Airport.
The statement, relayed by the Anadolu news agency, said that with the launch of this new line, the number of international destinations served by Turkish Airlines has increased to 308 and this, after the completion of the transfer operation activities from Ataturk Airport to the new Istanbul Airport.
The new airline reinforces the position of the world’s largest airline in terms of the number of destinations served, the source said.
Citing Turkish Airlines Deputy General Manager Ahmed Ulmuchtour, the statement said the company’s new operations center at Istanbul Airport “offers the opportunity to develop its performance and open up to new airlines”.
The statement also said that the city of Marrakech is one of the most important tourist destinations in Morocco and Africa.
