The Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, welcomed the agreement given by King Mohammed VI to the appointment of Princess Lalla Meryem, Goodwill Ambassador of the Islamic organization in the field of the empowerment of the institution of marriage and the family and the fight against the marriage of minors.
The closing session of the 46th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC Member States, held over two days under the theme “Fifty Years of Islamic Cooperation: Roadmap for Prosperity and Development”, expressed their thanks to the Sovereign for having agreed to allow Princess Lalla Meryem to accomplish this mission.
On this occasion, the OIC Foreign Ministers called upon member countries and bodies and bodies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to support Lalla Meryem in carrying out its mission.
In addition, the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC Member States has adopted a number of decisions relating to cultural, social and family affairs aimed at enhancing prosperity and the protection of the family and the empowerment of women in OIC member countries, child protection and capacity building of young people in the Islamic world.
