Notre-Dame: Morocco will contribute to the reconstruction

Morocco announced Thursday a “financial contribution” for the reconstruction of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, ravaged by a fire last Monday, says the embassy of the Kingdom in France. The amount of the Kingdom’s contribution has not been specified.

Thursday, Chakib Benmoussa, ambassador to France of Morocco, met with the archbishop of Paris, Monsignor Michel Aupetit, indicates the Moroccan diplomatic representation. During the meeting with the Archbishop of Paris, the ambassador reiterated “the expression of support, compassion and solidarity” of Mohammed VI, “on behalf of all Moroccans” after the fire at Notre-Dame, “symbol of the city of Paris, of the history of France, and place of recollection for millions of faithful”.
