OCP partners with Fraunhofer to create a world-class laboratory

The OCP Group and the Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems (IMWS) in Germany are strengthening their collaboration. The two will create a “world class” laboratory at the Mazagan Urban Pole (PUMA) in partnership with the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).

The future laboratory, “Fraunhofer-Mazagan Lab”, will be dedicated to developing sustainable solutions. The structure will thus strengthen the ecosystem of research and innovation, initiated by the UM6P. “The aim is to capitalize on the University’s research work and make it evolve into applied research and pilot programs before their large-scale industrialization,” says OCP.

The German Institute will support the future laboratory in various research projects for industrial ecosystems and will set up a dedicated team for the “Fraunhofer-Mazagan Lab”. The structure will therefore benefit from the expertise of the entire Fraunhofer laboratory network.
