A train derailed this Friday early morning, near the Casa Port station without causing any casualties. A few tens of minutes later, the ONCF released a press release to explain precisely what happened.
“In the early hours of this Friday, January 4, 2019, two empty vehicles collided in the maintenance center of the station of Casa Port,” said the statement. And to add that “this incident did not do bodily or material damage and will have no impact on the normal course of rail traffic”.
As soon as they were informed, the local authorities traveled to the scene of the incident to determine the ins and outs of the derailment.
