Paris commits a new battle against Airbnb

Between the city hall of Paris and Airbnb it is still not the big love. The city has sued the rental platform, punishable by a fine of 12.5 million euros to have put online 1,000 unregistered housing, as provided by the Elan law (Evolution of housing, development and digital).

For the town hall, Airbnb does not comply with regulations that require a registration number of the rented property. However, “1,000 ads” that did not have a registration number were indexed by sworn agents. The law provides for the payment of a fine of 12,500 euros for each non-compliant offer.
