Since its launch at the end of December 2018 and according to the leaders of Aquafina, table water has attracted consumers in Morocco. “Our sales figures for the first two months of marketing are very encouraging. They respond to the growth of the water market in Morocco over the last ten years,” said Othmane Nadifi, COO of Varun Beverages Morocco, a subsidiary of Varun Beverages, PepsiCo’s second largest bottler in the world with more than 30 plants in Africa and in Asia.
Aquafina wants to reach a market share of 5% by the end of the year. The brand aims to cover 50,000 points of sale within the next three months, with a target of 80,000 points of sale including 10,000 cofees, hotels and restaurants by 2022. Production and bottling of Aquafina are insured in the plant of Varun Beverages Morocco located on a plot of 20 000 m² in Bouskoura.
