Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired the opening of SIAM

Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, this Tuesday, April 16 at Sahrij Souani in Meknes, the opening of the 14th edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco (SIAM 2019).

Organized from 16 to 21 April under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, around the theme “agriculture, leverage and future of the rural world”, the 14th SIAM knows the participation of 1,500 exhibitors representing 60 countries.

This show is a good opportunity for participants to discuss the issue of employment in a sector that continues to modernize and develop, placing it in a situation of need for highly trained skills. It will present to no less than one million visitors the potential and opportunities offered by Moroccan agriculture, especially to young people and the rural population.

Moreover, this edition is of particular interest since it will mark the end of the Green Morocco Plan (PMV 2020) which has shown a positive balance sheet reinforcing the position of Agriculture as the main provider of employment.

Deployed over an area of 185,000 m² including 95,000 m² covered, the SIAM 2019, which consists of 10 thematic areas (Regions, Sponsors and Institutional, International, Nature and Life, Agro-supply, Products, Machinism, Livestock, Local products and Conferences), is an essential annual meeting to present the progress of Morocco in the agricultural field and confirm the crucial role played by agriculture as one of the major levers of economic growth.
