Professional Gender Equality: New distinction for BMCI

The BMCI is the first company in the ranking of the 2018 Trophy for professional gender equality, organized at the national level by the Ministry of Labor and Professional Integration.

Thanks to its voluntarist policy and activities in the field of equality at work, BMCI received the 2018 Trophy of professional gender equality as the first company among 43 participating organizations. The trophy was awarded by the Head of Government, Saâd Eddine El Othmani, in the presence of the Minister of Labor and Professional Integration, Mohamed Yatim.

The 2018 Professional Gender Equality Trophy was held for its 3rd edition to reward companies that have met the criteria of the principle of equality between women and men, as well as equal opportunities in terms of employment and working conditions, while encouraging women to occupy positions of responsibility and to participate in all the representative bodies within the enterprise. This is an opportunity to acknowledge the progress made by BMCI in terms of the gender approach and the improvement of the situation of women in the workplace.

In terms of diversity, the BNP Paribas Group has actively participated in the creation of an environment favorable to the evolution of women in business. At the same time, BMCI follows a committed parity policy, and was able to record a 50% rate of female employees within the Bank; of which 39% are managers, 35% are members of the Executive Committee and 21% are members of the Supervisory Board.

Lamyae Mernissi, Director of Human Resources and member of the Executive Committee of the BMCI, underlines that “this Trophy is a great recognition of the fundamental actions on diversity carried by our President of the Management Board, Mr. Laurent Dupuch, and carried out for some years within of our Bank in the context of the gender diversity actions initiated by the BNP Paribas Group”.
