PSA in Morocco: 700 million euros in sourcing

The PSA Group is pursuing its development strategy in the Middle East and Africa region, said a Group press release.

In 2018, its purchases in Morocco reached a global sourcing volume of nearly 700 million Euros, based on the ecosystem of the PSA Group which supplies its factories in the region but also in Europe.

In Morocco, there are more than 63 supplier sites supplying the PSA Group’s plants, including 27 in Greenfield.

The PSA Group contributes to the creation of direct and indirect jobs, to the significant increase of skills of its ecosystem, but also to the creation of wealth and the strengthening of the country’s trade balance.

The PSA Group’s purchasing policy in the region benefits from the product offensive initiated by the Group’s four brands (Peugeot, Citroën, Opel and DS) and the development of its sales in Europe and the Middle East and Africa region.

According to Jean-Christophe Quemard Middle East and African EVP, the commitments made publicly by the PSA Group 3 years ago “are held and exceeded thanks to the start of the Kenitra site this year”.
