Rabat to host International Renewable and Sustainable Energy Conference

The 6th edition of the International Renewable and Sustainable Energy Conference (IRSEC 18) will be held from 5 to 8 December 2018 in Rabat, attended by 400 participants from thirty countries, the organizers said.

Placed under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, the conference initiated by the Mediterranean Space of Technology and Innovation (MSTI) in partnership with the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN) will be marked by the participation of a Forty international experts will present the latest advances in renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Researchers from around the world, who have submitted their research beforehand and have been verified and validated by a specialized international scientific committee, will present their research work to juries, according to a statement from Mohammed V University, one of the partners of the event.

The IRSEC-18 offers the opportunity for Moroccan academics to improve the quality of their research and to find collaboration opportunities to set up and develop research projects with high added value and especially with the massive presence of national and multinational industries. In parallel, a large exhibition space is reserved for national and international industrialists.

The conference has become an essential forum for exchange between experts, researchers, industrialists and decision makers in the fields of renewable energies and energy efficiency. It is technically supported by two prestigious international organizations, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the International Solar Energy Society (ISES).

The work of this event will focus mainly on different themes, namely solar energy, wind energy, green technologies, energy efficiency, energy storage and smart grids.

The IRSEC 18 is organized in partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), Mohammed V University of Rabat, National School of Computer Science and Systems Analysis (ENSIAS), Abdelmalek Essaadi University, Faculty of sciences of Tetouan and several other national and international organizations.
