Radisson Hotel Group expands its presence in Morocco

Radisson Hotel Group is expanding its presence in Morocco and announces the signing with Madaëf of seven hotel units, four of which will open their doors in July 2021 at Saïdia Resorts, Al Hoceima and Taghazout Bay. A partnership that will help to move upmarket and strengthen the hotel offer in three tourist destinations with high potential, said a press release from Madaëf.

“We are delighted to announce this portfolio of seven new hotels as it accelerates our growing presence in Morocco. As a bridge between Europe and Africa, Morocco constitutes a priority market for our development strategy in Africa”, declared Elie Younes, Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer EMEA, Radisson Hotel Group, quoted by the press release.

“We would like to thank our partners for the trust they place in our brands and our teams, and we look forward to jointly opening these world-class hotels through key destinations in Morocco,” he added.

“We are delighted with this partnership with Radisson Hotel Group, which involves the opening of seven hotels in three strategic destinations,” said Mamoun Lahlimi Alami, Managing Director, Madaëf. These are two new openings this year representing nearly 600 rooms in Al Hoceima and the creation of 1,500 direct and indirect jobs, four repositioned assets with the objectives of moving the product upmarket and improving the customer experience, in addition to a seventh unit under development, he said. The openings, under the Radisson Blu and Radisson Residences brands, represent a total of more than 1,600 rooms and bring the number of the group’s hotels in Morocco to 10. A new step in the development strategy of the Radisson Hotel Group, which aims to reach around fifteen hotels in operation and under development in the kingdom by 2025.

As a reminder, Madaëf currently has 35 hotel assets in operation and units under development, totaling nearly 20,000 beds by the end of 2021 as well as 10 operational golf courses. The new signatures are part of the continuity of a series of partnerships forged by Madaëf and its institutional partners with renowned international operators, a pledge of its expertise in the tourism sector.

Al Hoceima:

– Radisson Blu Resort, Al Hoceima

The new resort, which opens this month, has 432 rooms. Located in an exceptional natural site, the resort will offer its customers an ideal seaside experience with direct access to the beach and a multitude of nautical activities.

– Radisson Blu Residences, Al Hoceima

This new 142-unit residence, also opening this month, features contemporary one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Residents will have access to the residence’s three swimming pools and will be able to enjoy the many facilities of the Radisson Blu Resort, Al Hoceima, located nearby.

Saïdia:

– Radisson Blu Resort, Saïdia Beach

The 397-room resort, which once again welcomes its guests under the Radisson Blu brand, is located in the center of the resort, next to the marina, and offers its guests memorable stays with direct access to the beach as well as than a wide range of entertainment and leisure facilities.

– Radisson Blu Resort, Saïdia Garden

With an opening scheduled for the 2022 season, this rebranded 150-unit complex will welcome guests with its modern standard rooms and luxurious suites. Guests will not only have access to the fitness center, various concepts and dining outlets, but they will also be able to enjoy the facilities of the Radisson Blu Resort, Saïdia Beach.

– Radisson Blu Residences, Saïdia

With 192 units, including standard apartments and suites, this Radisson Blu branded residence will open for the 2022 season. It will include various concepts and dining outlets. Guests can enjoy the wellness facilities at the residence, as well as those at the nearby Radisson Blu Resort, Saidia Beach.

Taghazout Bay:

– Radisson Blu Resort, Taghazout Bay Surf Village

The fourth hotel in the portfolio to open this month, the Radisson Blu Resort, Taghazout Bay Surf Village, offers a diverse range of accommodations ideal for family getaways. It also has a wide range of catering, leisure and sports facilities.

– Radisson Residences Taghazout Bay

On track for opening in the first quarter of 2023, the new 208-key residence will feature two- and three-bedroom apartments and will also offer guests access to its outdoor swimming pool.
