Ramadan: Moroccan imams deployed in Spain

Moroccan imams are sent to Spain to officiate prayers and to conduct conferences in several mosques and places of Islamic worship in Spain, on the occasion of Ramadan.

Composed of 56 people (6 morchidates, 5 morchidines and 45 changers), this delegation will be spread over several autonomous regions, namely Madrid, Castilla La Mancha, Catalonia, Basque region, La Rioja, Galicia, Andalusia, Valencia, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands.

Their deployment is part of an initiative of the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs, in coordination with the Federation of the Union of Mosques of Spain. It will also promote tolerance, cooperation and coexistence between Muslims and non-Muslims.
