Real Madrid continues its hunt for young talents. According to the Spanish daily AS, Florentino Pérez only has eyes for a certain Jota who evolves in the ranks of Benfica.
Compared to Cristiano Ronaldo, the 19-year-old striker was the subject of a Merengues bid estimated at 18 million euros. The Portuguese club, however, refused the proposal of Real Madrid. According to the newspaper, Benfica wants to place a new release clause of 120 million euros instead of the current 30.
Under contract until 2022, Jota refuses to extend with his club and wants to explore other horizons. Real Madrid, for its part, would seek now to pay the 30 million euros of the clause before it is revised upwards.
Recall that the Spanish club is also scrambling to attract Eder Militão (FC Porto) and Joao Felix (Benfica). But it will be difficult to replace CR7.
