Morocco received one million doses of Chinese Sinopharm vaccine, this Sunday, August 1, 2021. Enough to boost the vaccination campaign against Covid-19, recently extended to people aged 25 to 29 years.
The Royal Air Maroc (RAM) Dreamliner which flew to Beijing on Saturday landed this Sunday at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. The device transported a million additional doses of Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. After landing, this batch of vaccine was transported by SNTL refrigerated trucks to the services of the Autonomous Refrigeration Authority of Casablanca (RAFC). This new arrival brings to 20.5 million the number of doses of Chinese vaccine delivered so far to Morocco.
The doses of vaccine received will allow the kingdom to speed up the vaccination of people between the ages of 25 and 29. As of July 31, the total number of doses administered was 23755510, including 13631005 first doses and 10124505 second doses. The Covid-19 report shows 615999 cases of contamination, 557408 healings and 9732 deaths.
