Renault holds more than 43% market share in Morocco

Groupe Renault Maroc recorded a market share of 43.6% in April 2019 with a delivery of 5,364 vehicles, maintaining its leading position in the passenger car and utility vehicle market (VP-VU).

At the end of the first quadrimester of 2019, the group has 23,013 units delivered, with a market share of 43.5%, according to the Group’s monthly sales results.

Renault and Dacia remain the key leaders in the VP-VU market in terms of volume and market share. Dacia maintains its leading position with 29.3% of passenger car market share in April and 3,157 deliveries.

The market share of the brand during the first four months of the year, is 30.3% with 14,415 Dacia vehicles having found a buyer, says the same source.

Renault, the second largest brand in the Moroccan passenger car market, consolidated its position with a market share of 16.9% and closed the month of April with 1,818 units delivered.

The firm thus consolidates its second step of the podium with 7,185 deliveries and a market share of 15.1% cumulated.

In addition, the group is consolidating its position as the leader in commercial and utility vehicles (VU-VUT), with a market share of 25.2% in April, with a total of 1,413 units delivered and 26.2% share market.

The Renault Maroc group also won 6 places in the “Top Ten” bestseller and completed the year 2018 with historical achievements in terms of deliveries (more than 75,400) and market share reaching 42.5%.
