The actor is shooting the film “Waiting for the Barbarians”, alongside Johnny Depp.
Filming started a month ago already, but photos are still rare. After a first shot of Robert Pattinson who had frightened his fans in early November, new photos of the actor in Morocco circulating on the web.
It shows the star revealed by the saga “Twilight” in British officer’s suit, in an ocher decor typical of southern Morocco. Robert Pattinson filmed the film “Waiting for the Barbarians”, under the direction of Colombian Ciro Guerra, which he shares Oscar winner with Mark Rylance and Johnny Depp. The latter, who would have arrived in the kingdom since the end of October and currently reside in Marrakesh, has not yet filtered any photos.
Far from the film sets and discrete places, it is on the red carpet of the International Film Festival of Marrakesh that Robert Pattinson made a remarkable appearance last night, on the occasion of the opening of the festival.
This is not the first time that Robert Pattinson comes to Morocco for the needs of a film. The filming of Queen of the Desert took place in 2014 in the desert near Ouarzazate, Marrakesh, Merzouga and Erfoud, with partners James Franco and Nicole Kidman.
“Waiting for the Barbarians” is the adaptation of the eponymous novel by South African Nobel laureate John Maxwell Coetzee. Published in 1980, the book is a political thriller inspired by apartheid in South Africa and traces the story of a British judge, in a small colonial town, helpless against an officer who, to launch his career, provokes a war.
