Royal Air Maroc and Emirates signed, this Tuesday, May 10 in Dubai, a code-share partnership (code sharing), offering more travel possibilities and choice of air connections to customers of the two companies on their flights connecting Dubai and Casablanca, as well as to other destinations.
Thus, from the end of May, the two companies will offer their customers codeshare flights operated by the two carriers between Dubai and Casablanca and to a total of 209 destinations combined. This partnership will offer their customers a wider choice of destinations between the hubs of the two companies. This agreement will also allow passengers to benefit from more competitive fares, smooth connections and easy transfer of luggage to their final destination.
The new codeshare flights will be marketed on the websites of the two companies (royalairmaroc.com and emirates.com) and their sales agencies, but also with traditional travel agencies and online sales platforms.
Emirates customers will thus have access to 17 Moroccan destinations, other than Casablanca, as well as 63 international destinations, including an extensive network in North Africa, West Africa and Central Africa covering 25 metropolises. As for Royal Air Maroc customers, they will be able to access the vast network of Emirates which, in addition to the Dubai hub, has more than 130 destinations including 60 cities in the Middle East, the United States of America, East Asia West and Far East.
“We are very pleased to conclude this important partnership with Emirates which will strongly contribute to the strengthening of our air traffic, and will offer our passengers a wide range of destinations as well as a better customer experience thanks to optimized connections and end-to-end check-in. end, with international airport assistance within the networks of the two companies,” said Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc.
For his part, Adnan Kazim, Commercial Director of Emirates Airline, said he was “delighted to strengthen our partnership with Royal Air Maroc through this code sharing and thus offer our customers a very wide selection of destinations across Morocco, as well as a large choice of destinations in Africa. We are determined to develop our collaboration in order to provide greater benefits to our customers.”
This new codeshare agreement coincides with Emirates’ 20 year service to Casablanca, which has carried more than 3.4 million passengers between Dubai and Casablanca since 2002, supporting the country’s tourism industry, developing commercial activities and making Moroccan culture and traditions known to the whole world. The airline currently operates eight weekly flights to Casablanca. Royal Air Maroc will soon launch a direct line linking Casablanca to Dubai with four frequencies per week.
