The number of users of social networks in Morocco reached 17 million, a penetration rate of 47%, against 17% on average on the continent, according to the “Mobile Report 2019”, presented by CEO of Jumia Morocco, Larbi Alaoui Belrhiti.
In an exclusive Google study for Jumia, the YouTube viewership rate in Morocco has increased by 45% with a predominance of 14 to 34 year-olds, the Jumia Morocco boss said, adding that the study showed that besides that the two favorite Moroccan channels on YouTube are 2M TV and Al Oula.
Regarding Mobile subscriptions, they amount to 46 million, a penetration rate of 130.73%, “significantly higher than the average in Africa (80%)”. Morocco is thus a “leader” on the African continent, according to “Mobile Report 2019”.
