Sound Energy advances in its pipeline project

Something new in the Sound Energy pipeline project in Tendrara. The oil and gas company claims to have received approval from the Ministry of Energy, Mines and the Environment for the environmental impact study conducted in connection with the construction and operation of a pipeline in the Oriental. If the project is finally approved, the pipeline will be connected to the Maghreb Europe Pipeline and will pass through the municipalities of Matarka (Figuig) and Merija (Jerada).

After a first meeting held on October 10, the National Committee responsible for examining the study will meet again on January 28.

“Ongoing discussions with Interior Ministry officials to secure rights through a long-term lease for a 50m-wide corridor over the entire 120km length of the pipeline are progressing as planned”, indicates the company.

Sound Energy also claims to be in negotiations with ONEE for the signature of the modification of the binding memorandum of understanding signed with the Office, in order to extend the negotiation period of the final gas sales agreement until 31 March.
