Express stop in Tangier for the Peace Boat, the flagship boat of the Japanese organization of the same name. This Japanese NGO operates in the framework of raising awareness and creates international links between groups working for peace, human rights, environmental protection and sustainable development. The Tienese port of call comes after Malta and will precede a stop in Portugal on the hundredth trip of this boat.
The boat’s passengers, including ambassadors for the peace of the organization, were able to participate in various activities and panels of exchange on education, peace and the protection of the environment.
The boat also transports young people from the 52 small island developing states committed to the issues of climate change and ocean degradation. Note that the trip will end June 8 in New York, on the occasion of World Oceans Day.
