King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived this Wednesday evening in Casablanca, for a visit of friendship and work in Morocco, at the invitation of King Mohammed VI.
When he got off the plane at Mohammed V International Airport, the Hashemite Sovereign was greeted by Prince Moulay Rachid.
After reviewing a detachment of the Light Security Brigade, which paid the honors, King Abdullah II was hailed by Interior Minister Abdelouafi Laftit and Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
He was also greeted by the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, governor of the Casablanca prefecture, the chairman of the Council of Casablanca-Settat region, the ambassador of Morocco in Jordan, the ambassador of Jordan in Rabat as well as by several civil and military personalities.
At the entrance to the airport’s VIP lounge, the Hashemite Sovereign was invited to the traditional ceremony offering milk and dates.
After a short break in the saloon, the official procession headed for the residence of the Hachemite Sovereign in the economic capital.
This visit illustrates the depth of the relations of fraternity, cooperation and solidarity uniting the two brother peoples, in favor of the common will of the two Sovereigns.
