The rainfall deficit in Morocco reaches 64%

The average cumulative rainfall shows a deficit of 64% compared to the climatological normal, and 53% compared to the previous season.

From September 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022, the average cumulative precipitation recorded at the national level is 38.8 millimeters, against a climatological normal of 106.8 mm calculated over the same period between 1981 and 2010.

According to data from the General Directorate of Meteorology, the deficit amounts to 64%.

The deficit compared to the previous season 2020-2021 is 53%, according to the same source.
