The polisario continues its provocations. The Moroccan military satellite, “Mohammed VI-B”, reportedly detected provocative acts of the separatist front near Bir Gandouz, Aousserd and Tichla.
“The Moroccan army can react at any time to these provocations. The preparations began two weeks ago,” a statement said. The kingdom can count on its planes, its helicopters and its heavy weapons bought from the United States, China and France.
This is not the first time that the polisario plays this game. In April 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, had alerted the Secretary-General of the United Nations after satellite observations.
Recall that these movements occur a few days after the first quadripartite talks between Morocco, Algeria, the separatist front and Mauritania, held in early December in Geneva. The security council had ordered the Polisario to refrain from any action and demanded the immediate withdrawal of Guerguarat, Bir Lahlou and Tifariti, the localities east of the Moroccan defense system.
