The Government Council, meeting this Wednesday, July 27 in Rabat, decided to extend the state of health emergency throughout the national territory until September 30, 2022, as part of the efforts made to fight against the spread of Covid-19.
The Council of Government, meeting under the chairmanship of the head of government Aziz Akhannouch, adopted, this Wednesday, July 27, a draft decree extending the period of validity of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory, as part of the authorities efforts to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.
In order to guarantee the effectiveness and efficiency of the measures taken in the context of the fight against the spread of the pandemic, this draft decree extends the state of health emergency throughout the national territory until Friday 30 September 2022, at 6 p.m.
Under this draft decree, the government authority responsible for the interior is empowered to take, in the light of the epidemic situation, all appropriate measures at the national level, while the walis of the regions and the governors of the prefectures and provinces are able to take all the necessary executive measures at the level of a prefecture, province, municipality or more to maintain public health order.
