The National Criminal Police Brigade in coordination with the services of the DGST, arrested in Sale Monday three French nationals, including one of Algerian origin, for their alleged involvement in the financing of terrorism and links with fighters activating in terrorist organizations, says DGNS.
Investigations revealed that the suspects were able to forge close ties with active fighters in the terrorist organization “Daesh” on the Syrian-Iraqi scene, in addition to their alleged involvement in fundraising for the benefit of extremist circles to finance terrorist operations, adds the DGSN in a statement.
The defendants were placed in police custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office for Terrorism Affairs, while investigations continue for the arrest of their accomplices and other individuals involved in these terrorist acts and to determine the possible connections and ramifications of those arrested, both in Morocco and abroad, the same source said.
