Tourist arrivals grew by 7.6% at the end of February last year, to 1.59 million tourists, according to the Tourism Observatory. In detail, arrivals of Moroccans abroad increased by 5%, while those of foreign tourists grew by 9%.
At the end of February, the main issuing markets saw an increase in arrivals, in particular France (+12%), Italy (+11%), the United Kingdom (+10%), Spain (+9%), Germany (+6%), Holland (+7%) and Belgium (+3%). It should be noted that the total nights spent in classified tourist accommodation establishments increased slightly (+2%) in the first two months of the year.
