Tourism: Agadir exceeds one million arrivals

More than a million tourists visited Agadir in 2018, an increase of 13.5% year on year, according to data from the Regional Council of Tourism (CRT) of Souss-Massa.

National tourists top the list with 356,620 visitors compared to 339,853 in 2017, an increase of 4.9%. The occupancy rate is estimated at 55%.

The French market also picked up a good momentum, with an increase of 11.2% in arrivals, or 165,138 in 2018. The German and English markets recorded increases of 5.3% and 18.3% respectively. Note that 4-star establishments are the most popular, followed by holiday clubs and 5-star hotels.
