The low-cost airline Transavia, part of the Air France-KLM group, announced a new link between Lyon and Casablanca in the summer of 2019 to allow holidaymakers to “discover the charms of Morocco”.
The new line will be open between July 30 and September 1, at the rate of two flights a week, report Tuesday media of France. Departures from Lyon-Saint Exupéry will be scheduled Tuesday at 22:45 and Sunday at 23:45 and return flights from Casablanca-Mohammed V airport, Monday at 2:20 and Wednesday at 1:20.
This is the fourth link with Morocco of the low-cost airline, after Agadir, Marrakesh and Oujda (4, 5 and 3 weekly rotations this summer).
With this new connection, Transavia continues its development on its platform in Lyon after a year of strong growth (+34%) in 2018, and offers “the opportunity to discover the charms of Morocco, while strengthening its strategic position on the Mediterranean Basin”.
The low-cost airline has a growth target of 13% in 2019.
