Two Brazilian women arrested at Mohammed V airport

Police on Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport on Sunday arrested two Brazilian nationals suspected of involvement in the international cocaine trade.

Respondents, aged 28 and 42, were arrested on arrival on board a flight from Sao Paolo, Brazil, a DGSN statement said, adding that the search operation allowed the found in their possession of 2,810 grams of cocaine hidden in their underwear, before the examinations reveal the possibility that they carry additional quantities of the same drug in their intestines.

The defendants were placed under medical surveillance at Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca to extract the quantities of cocaine, before submitting them to a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor.
