The Emirati ambassador left his post in Rabat last week.
According to media, the United Arab Emirates have recalled Ali Salem Al Kaâbi, appointed barely a year ago as the representative of his country in the Kingdom.
The media says that the real reason for this recall is still unknown. In any case, Ali Salem Al Kaâbi returned to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United States, without his country or the Kingdom having explained the reasons for his hasty departure from Rabat.
In February, rumors circulated that Morocco had recalled its ambassadors to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Nasser Bourita reacted to these allegations in a statement and denied them. “These allegations are totally false and unfounded. This information has not been officially announced. Moroccan diplomacy has always announced its decisions and expressed its positions through its official channels and not through a US news agency,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
