Warsaw: Minister Delegate for African Cooperation represents Morocco

Mohcine Jazouli, Minister Delegate for African Cooperation, took part in the Ministerial Conference on Middle East Peace and Security in Warsaw on 14 February 2019, a meeting co-organized by the United States and Poland.

On this occasion, Jazouli spoke at the panel entitled “the fight against terrorism and illegal financing”. He recalled Morocco’s steadfast determination in the fight against terrorism and the firm will of the Kingdom to promote peace and security in the Middle East and elsewhere. This commitment is recognized by all partners and is one of the major axes of the Moroccan cooperation policy.

Jazouli concluded by stressing that no single country can cope with the dangers of its security: it is only through a collective approach, a strong commitment and an objective-based approach that we can defeat terrorism and its illicit financing.

This conference brought together several leading international figures such as Mike Pompeo, US Secretary of State, Jared Kushner, Advisor to the US President, Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of Poland, Adel al-Jubeir, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia.

As stated in the US State Department’s press release, this conference aims to “reinvigorate efforts and revitalize alliances by giving countries the opportunity to share their assessments of the situation and come up with ideas on how to resolve common problems”.
