Weather alert: An intense heat wave from Thursday

A heat wave is expected from Thursday to Sunday in several parts of the Kingdom with temperatures ranging between 34 and 43 degrees, announces the Directorate of National Meteorology (DMN).

In a special weather report, the DMN indicates that maximum temperatures of 39 to 43 degrees are expected from Thursday to Sunday in the provinces of Assa-Zag, Smara, Tata, Zagora, Beni Mellal, Chichaoua, Marrakech, Settat, Kelaat Sraghna, Fquih Ben Salah, Youssoufia, Khouriga, Larache, Ouezzane, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Taroudant.

From Thursday to Saturday, the thermometer will show temperatures ranging between 34 and 38 degrees in the provinces of Benslimane, Khemisset, Kenitra, Rabat, Sale, Sidi Bennour, and Skhirate-Temara. While temperatures ranging from 38 to 42 degrees will concern, from Saturday to Sunday, the provinces of Agadir-Idouatanane, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Guelmim, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Ifni, Tantan and Tiznit. Temperatures will rise gradually on Wednesday on the northern plains and on the center. Strong gusts of wind, ranging from 75 to 95 km/h, are also expected between Thursday and Saturday in the provinces of Fahs-Anjra and Tangier-Assilah.
