Zara is again inspired by Moroccan fashion

The famous clothing brand Zara, a subsidiary of the Spanish textile group Inditex, was inspired by Morocco for its spring-summer 2019 collection, said the chain’s marketing campaign manager, Steven Meisel.

For this new collection, the fast-fashion giant has drawn inspiration from the typical colors of the dunes, sunsets and desert of Morocco, says the official, quoted by the media, noting that this collection is about models in natural tones (sand and off-white) and ocher mingling with red colors, in a kind of pure and summery combination.

Adorned with accessories, including turbans, leather sandals, slippers, huge earrings and gold belts, this collection evokes the warmth and tranquility of summer and celebrates the peace of the Moroccan desert, adds Meisel.

For its spring-summer 2018 collection, Zara was also inspired by Morocco and more specifically by the city of Marrakesh, through its ocher colors, unique landscapes and exceptional architecture.

Several names in international fashion have drawn their inspiration in Morocco, very often in Marrakesh, but also blue colors typical of Chefchaouen or reddish desert.
